The greatest rogues guild is located in the captial of Ostgwyn & ran by a big, fat Slitheran (ratman) called Reggi the Rat. Dunncot forest is known to have a village made up of good lycanthrope, as well as wild & wood elves and other woodland creatures. The northern border of Ostgwyn is protected by a great army, that protects them from Vareth the evil kingdom (the Armadio & the kingdom army). It is the most romantic kingdom in Marinth. Has a festival when the magical mountain, Dalmarr, passes over. Within the last 100 years or so the lands to the north was taken by Vareth. Major hostilities with Vareth but in good standing with the other kingdoms. Also home to the one and only fighting gladiatorial arena.
Life & Society - Ostgwyn is known for culture & art from around the lands. Warm muggy weather tends to make cloaks thinner & armor lighter, music & festival are abound. Ostgwyn is contradiction people wear bright colors and music is almost constantly heard, however, danger lurks in dark alleys and mist shrouds the darkened streets.
Major Geographical Features - Ostgwyn is a sub-tropical kingdom with the Sea of Corynn to the northeast. It is border by Silfin, Calince A’dis, and Deabalbed to the south, Gothbael to the west and Vareth to the north. Ostgwyn is largely wooded and though mountainous to the east and west has swampy areas throughout the land.
Dunncot Forest - The largest forest in Ostgwyn, the Dunncot forest, bordering Deabalbed to the southwest. This forest is rumored to have a small town that is ran by a group of good werewolves. The Dunncot is also home to fey and other woodland creatures due to the thick undergrowth, bushes and tall trees. Legend has there is a pond called the Healer’s Pond which is a natural formation that occurred during the Grellkin empire. Many believe the pond and arch of trees was made by Alkliendiel herself, others believe that Larhothwen made it as a way to thank her worshippers on their travels. The elves believe the story of Alkliendiel most others believe the story of Larhothwen, but no one knows the truth behind the unsual formation of trees and pond. Six ancient oak trees have bent and twisted in an arch above a natural forming pond. The pond is in the shape of a tear drop and hidden from view by the oak trees. The water is crystal clear and you can see to the bottom of the pond. Most say this is the tear that Alkliendiel shed when she heard of the start of the god‘s war many hundreds of years ago.
Sachsen Forest - The dense Sachsen forest get swampier the deeper in you go. The Sachsen is inhabited by a large tribe of good lizard folk called, the Green Water Tribe, who have an official treaty with the kingdom of Ostgwyn as well as many other unusal creatures.
Bethorn Mountains - The Bethorn mountains form a natural border between Ostgwyn & Silfin (the elven lands). These mountains are well patrolled by both human and elven patrols.
